Universal Orlando is raising the bar once again with the highly anticipated opening of Epic Universe, slated for May 22, 2025. This massive expansion is part of a 750-acre development and will become Universal Orlando Resort’s fourth theme park, promising an entirely new experience filled with innovative attractions and immersive environments.
What makes this park stand out from the others? It’s not just the scale, but the level of immersion and the cutting-edge technology set to bring beloved stories and characters to life in ways never seen before. Epic Universe is designed to offer guests over 50 attractions and experiences spread across five distinct themed lands, each with its own unique appeal. Whether you’re a fan of gaming, mythical creatures, or iconic monsters, Epic Universe is crafted to delight all kinds of adventurers.
Themed Lands to Explore:
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic Prepare to be transported from Paris to London in this immersive Harry Potter experience that centers around the Ministry of Magic. Set in 1920s wizarding Paris, visitors will be taken on an unforgettable journey using the “Métro-Floo” transport system, leading to 1990s London for the park’s flagship attraction: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, where you’ll witness the trial of Dolores Umbridge — until she tries to escape! This ride will feature first-of-its-kind technology, including omnidirectional lifts that promise to provide a jaw-dropping experience.

Super Nintendo World If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a video game, this is your chance. Developed in partnership with Nintendo, this land will bring the Super Mario universe to life. And for the first time in the U.S., guests will also experience Donkey Kong Country. The multisensory environment and interactive attractions promise to deliver a game-changing theme park adventure that fans of all ages can enjoy.
How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk Love dragons? The Isle of Berk from DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon trilogy is coming to life with experiences that include dragon flying, a thrilling roller coaster, a live stage show, and a dragon-racing trainer attraction. This land offers Viking adventures, so guests can fully immerse themselves in the world of Hiccup and Toothless.
Dark Universe Inspired by Universal’s legendary classic monsters, the Dark Universe land will transport visitors to the shadowy village of Darkmoor. This area is home to Dracula, the Wolf Man, Frankenstein’s Monster, and more. The central focus of this land is Frankenstein Manor, which houses Universal Orlando’s most chilling ride ever. If you dare, you can also transform into a monster yourself at one of the unique interactive attractions or enjoy some spooky dining options.
Celestial Park At the heart of Epic Universe is the breathtaking Celestial Park. This lush, garden-filled space serves as the gateway to the other lands through a series of majestic portals. With rolling gardens, chasing waterways, and relaxing pathways, Celestial Park promises to be the perfect area to explore between your more thrilling adventures.
The Loews Universal Helios Grand Hotel
Epic Universe’s immersive experience isn’t limited to just the theme park.
